Study of Grass-fed Beef as a Value Chain in North Central New Mexico (NCNM)

Funded by the Taos Community Foundation to identify the market for and determine the feasibility of developing grass-fed beef in North Central New Mexico (NCNM) as a value-added product and to identify the requirements to develop the sector. (February to July, 2008)

Northern New Mexico

AISD led the Regional Expert Team for Regional Economic Development Services under the Regional Economic Development Initiative (REDI), funded by Los Alamos County and implemented by the Regional Development Corporation (RDC). This effort was part of an effort to adapt the San Diego Direct model to Northern New Mexico (May to August 2008).

Business Attraction Services for Taos, NM

AISD provided services to the Regional Business Alliance in Taos to provide business attraction services for the county and Enchanted Circle region (2008).

Los Alamos National Laboratory Regional Entrepreneurial Support Services

AISD provided program assessment and design services to the LINK project to bring entrepreneurial support services to Rio Arriba County, part of the Northern New Mexico CONNECT program supported by Los Alamos National Security and the Regional Development Center. (October 2007 to February 2008)

Japan Trade Representative for New Mexico

For the New Mexico Economic Development Department (NMEDD), AISD supports the Focus Japan program, including serving as New Mexico’s Trade Representative in Tokyo, to help New Mexico small and medium enterprises compete in the Japanese market. (2007-2011)

Feasibility Study for Chile Processing Plan in Chimayo, NM

For the New Mexico Economic Development Department, conducted a feasibility study for a chile processing plant in Northern New Mexico (2006-2007). Subsequently, facilitated the development of a local chile “brand” for the community of Chimayo, NM (December 2006 to April 2007).
